Star Wars and Me
As you may or may not know, I am an avid Star Wars fan.
I post regularly on a Star Wars forum and I listen to the best Star Wars podcast in the whole galaxy, The ForceCast. I am a veteran listener (since November 2006) and consistently part of the show's live recordings, both in the live chat -- which I moderate -- and as a caller during the recording process. I also take show notes for the hosts for reference purposes, and I manage their social media presences on sites like Twitter and Facebook.
Some Star Wars facts about me:
- In December 2007, I was given the title of President of the Official Unofficial ForceCast Fan Club.
- I was also a joint manager of the ForceCast Gaming League, the now-defunct but formerly-active group of ForceCast fans who enjoyed Star Wars gaming.
- When The ForceCast Unleashed, the ForceCast Battlefront II mod, was in production, I was a co-developer and lead project manager.
- I was also the creator and producer/director of Outrageous: My Life As a ForceCast Fan, the first ForceCast fan film.
- I also helped start a Star Wars Canon Live Discussion with two friends from the ForceCast forums. The SWCLD is still very active today.
On May 2, 2009, TheForce.Net Content Manager Dustin Roberts brought me on the TFN staff as their Social Media Director. In this role, I help manage the various social presences that TheForce.Net and Rebelscum.com operate. You can see my staff bio on TheForce.Net here.
On October 3, 2009, I began reviewing episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars for TheForce.Net. I post my reviews the day after the episode airs.
